 This
directorate was established in 1999. Its main functions are:
- To promote evangelisation and
catechesis not only in the Small Christian communities but also in
the parishes, schools, institutions and at all levels.
- Coordinate and guide all pastoral
activities within the pastoral division.
- To establish pastoral departments,
committees, associations, groups and other relevant bodies to
coordinate and oversee the implementation of pastoral activities in
the diocese.
- Co-operate with all departments of
the diocese in all matters of pastoral and development concerns.
- To facilitate and coordinate the
study and production of pastoral and liturgical tools and materials.
- To coordinate the review of
pastoral policies, goals and programs.
