The
youth make up 60% of the total population in the diocese. These youths
are to be found in every parish. Most of them live in the rural areas
of these parishes, while others are in schools. The Diocese
coordinates the youth through this department.
Functions of the department:
• The department aims at addressing the moral, social, economic and
spiritual needs of the
youth in the diocese.
• It assists in identifying the needs of the youth and designs their
programs.
 •
It is involved in the soliciting for funds, implementing of youth
projects and follow ups of the youth activities.
• It facilitates youth exchange programs.
• It is involved in promoting youth apostolate at both parish and
diocesan levels.
• It facilitates youth meetings, seminars, and workshops.
• Through the chaplain, the department offers spiritual nourishment to
the various youth
groups in the diocese.
